Explanation

  • This exhibit includes more realistic 3-D moon
    modeling on the touchscreen.
    Interactive 3-D moon modeling provides an
    opportunity for visitors to investigate and get
    more information on craters and maria on the
    lunar surface. By using interactive Earth-Sun-
    Moon modeling, users can change and project
    the position of the Moon on the touchscreen
    and observe phases of the Moon which is also
    projected on the circular screen. What’s the
    phase of the Moon on your birthday, or on any
    other day? Choose a date and see how the
    moon will likely appear on that day. Learn the
    surface and phases of the Moon interactively
    and test your knowledge by taking a test.
