Explanation

  • The Bicycle generator model is used for fun
    demonstrations to increase understanding and
    awareness of energy topics. The intention of
    this model is to build a straight forward human
    powered generator from a used bicycle and
    to use it to power light bulbs. This system is
    designed to show the conversion of mechanical
    energy into electrical energy. On the system,
    there is a bicycle, a dynamo and 8 lamps with
    different colors that show the power levels.
    When cycling, the consumed mechanical
    energy is converted to the electrical energy
    with the help of the dynamo and it provides the
    lights to be turned on level by level.
