Explanation
With the Archimedes’ Law apparatus, it is easy to explore the relationship between buoyancy and volume as well as the mass and density of the objects in the same liquid. According to the Archimedes’ principle, the weight of the displaced portion of the water is equivalent to the magnitude of the buoyant force. Fill the tubes with water with the help of a water pump and watch the size of the springs’ extension. Buoyancy is different in each tube since each tube has an object which has the same mass, but different volumes.
