Explanation

  • This setup consists of a parabolic dish
    with a hole of the center, a steel ball and a
    compartment, connected to the hole at the
    very bottom. When the ball is released into the
    setup, it speeds up as it goes down the hole.
    It then disappears when it enters the hole at
    the very bottom. This simulates the behavior
    of stars trapped by dark holes in the universe.
