Explanation

  • A periscope is a tool that provides an
    observation from a secret or a closed place.
    The most common usage of the periscopes are
    submarines and tanks. A periscope consists
    of two mirrors inserted parallel to each other
    inside a thin and long tube. One mirror captures
    the rays of light from the object, they are then
    passed down the tube to a second mirror
    which directs them into the eye, by rotating the
    periscope inserted in a container with a brick.
